JetBlack Safety gives Kimberly Clark a safe and effective alternative to personnel clean down…
At Kimberly Clark’s Northfleet site, the production of toilet tissue is a moist and dusty operation and minute paper/tissue particles settle on personnel. Removal of such production debris is necessary before entering the Crew Rooms, where lunch is taken, as well as other ‘clean rooms’. The company had been using compressed air but was looking to reduce the risk to its personnel.
The installation of a Jetblack Safety Cleaning Station to remove tissue debris from personnel’s clothing. “Initially, we commissioned a Blow Down Cleaning Booth but before it was finished, we purchased a portable Jetblack Safety Cleaning Station. Trials in the worst area of the mill proved its effectiveness, resulting in company-wide acceptance by all employees and subsequent installation of five additional units,” said Brian Glover, Mill Safety Manager, at Kimberly Clark.
